“ARRIVING THERE IS WHAT YOU ARE DESTINED FOR.
BUT DO NOT HURRY THE JOURNEY AT ALL.
BETTER IF IT LASTS FOR YEARS,
SO YOU ARE OLD BY THE TIME YOU REACH THE ISLAND,
WEALTHY WITH ALL YOU HAVE GAINED ON THE WAY“
ITHAKA | C.P. CAVAFY
Every minute is an experiences, and travel is an exquisite method to add valuable experiences to our life. Those ones that make you grow, those ones that make you know yourself better, most of all, that you are not alone. There are a bunch of people out there!
MAYBE I’m a photographer and MAYBE I’m a globetrotter. So, most of the time I hang out with some of my ladies: a worse-for-wear
Rebel, patched Cybershop, Fujixt10 or the bared phone. I Capture those places, details, smiles, people that have added value to my life: Experiences.
I live in Wonderland!
Yes, but I’m not Alicia. I’m Aura, (nice meeting you!). I live in a particular island in the Caribbean where I try to make the most of it by traveling, take some photos and be amused by raw nature. Even from humans, spreading world wide.
Seems like this is my travel journal. I will be sharing with you some of my experiences, places, people, small strokes of history, last but not least some Tips & Trips that come handy if you are going to the Falling Water House for instance (btw, you’ll need to rent a helicopter if you are not from there!)
I’m Architect and lighting designer, but while I work as a Designer in my daily basis, Photography and Traveling are my major passions. Travelling came natural, since we have to travel to the city to visit my grandparents almost every Sunday and my father loved to parade while driving… contemplating became a comfy hobby in the highway.
In the other hand, my mother took pictures of us form on pregnancy until our 15th years old. She made a photo album for each one of us. Handed to us (but still hers) on our 15 years old party and said: ”From now on, you take your own pictures”, so I did.
Did you get the name?
Hence, traveling is something that we should do often. It works as a catalyzer of the system attachments that surrounds us. Furthermore, it enriches us with wonderful scenarios, we amazing personages, with transcendental lessons full of wisdom, and the best of all, the chance to know ourselves. To know where we come from, our Quo Vadis and the place to call home.
Capture Rebel is about the awesome traveling experiences I’ve had shown through photography. Honoring the people I’ve travel with and those I’ve got to meet along the way.
So please, Travel! Short trips near your city area or short roadtrip should do, you can even travel in your own city! planning a museum visit, sightseeing in your own old town, just wander around. There’s always something to do and the foreigners are the one who get the big piece of the cake!
So, dont take your home town for granted, things change. Try this instead: Take a photo in the same place, at the same spot, at the same hour one year window and come back and tell how it went.
In the meantime come along and travel with me, meet the places I’ve been and I will give you some Tips & Trips for the most interesting places you should visit and relevant things to know that you might haven’t hear of. I invite you to keep track of my photos on Instagram and some spur of the moment notes or interesting articles on Facebook.
